Photo Submissions

We accept both CAT and DOG photos, year round!

There is no firm submission deadline. For the following year's calendar we can usually consider photos received as late as March or April, and we aim for a mix of the best and most recent pictures. Photos are in constant demand — they may appear in our wall calendars and on the CLC website.

With a high-resolution camera living in your pocket, we know you'll be tempted to share every picture of your favorite friend. Before you do, please read the three short sections below: Photo Guidelines, Image Quality Standards, and the Photo Release built into the submission form.

When a photo is selected

Once the year's calendars are complete, we notify everyone whose photo was chosen. Featured friends receive a complimentary calendar — plus half-price copies of any of our titles to share with their co-conspirators.*

*We write to the email address on record, and replies sometimes go astray — please also check back in November to see whether your animal friend was included.

Photo Guidelines

  • Photos are submitted only through the online form below — not by mail.
  • LANDSCAPE orientation is what our calendars use; portrait photos are discouraged.
  • Files must be at least 1 MB (1000 KB) so the photo can be enlarged to wall-calendar size.
  • Submit color originals only — even for the B&W CLAB Classic, our design team makes the conversion.
  • Upload the original, untouched photo: no filters, edits, or screenshots (our graphic artist handles any adjustments).
  • Sharp and in focus, please — blurry photos are automatically declined, no matter how adorable.
  • Set the scene: a photo's story matters as much as its subject.
  • Multiple cats or dogs in one photo are welcome, and photos from every season of the year are especially useful.
  • The photograph must be taken by you (or a friend or relative), and the animal must be yours.

Note: canine pictures are in especially high demand — good dog photos have an excellent chance of being used.
